Handmade Artisan Jewelry Jacksonville Florida ~ Organic Jewelry for the Soul
We've had Rambling Rose, our 1965 26ft Airstream International Land Yacht for about 6 or 7 years. We have had so much family fun in her and have decided she wants more out of her life. We will still enjoy family time with her but she will also be A Rambling Boutique. She will offer my handmade jewelry, Roberts hand forged implements, upcycled treasures and vintage finds.

If theres a such thing as a plant totem/plant spirit guide, motherwort is definitely mine. I adore her and all that she offers. Having suffered with anxiety and mild depression my entire life, I am definitely drawn to nervine plant medicine, with this beauty at the top of the list.
Motherwort is a member of the mint family, she's a bitter mint, slightly acrid and astringent.
She is a wonderful herb of the heart as she slows heart palpitations and rapid heart rate. She improves fertility and reduces anxiety associated with childbirth, post pardon, depression and menopause. She spreads joy and calmness, and is like a big hug from mom. Motherwort brings down high bp. Her energy is diffusive, moving trapped energy in our core systems that create blockages.
Motherwort will lessen cramping during the childbirth process as well as during menstrual cycle.
In Ayurveda, motherwort pacifies vatta, pitta and kapha, so its good for all constitutions.
She stimulates digestion, liver and pancreas. She's a nervine, sedative, she is calming and gentle. She's an emmenagogue which means she's used to promote menstrual blood. She's cardiovascular as well as a diaphoretic (increases sweat)
Contraindications~ not to be used with hypothyroidism. Also not to be used during pregnancy until the last 4 weeks.
I created this Mothers Hug Tincture using plants I harvested from my garden. This is a wonderful blend of motherwort, mimosa albizia (the tree of happiness), passionflower, (another wonderful nervine), and reishi mushrooms (wonderful immune booster) harvested from the forests of florida. ~ my husband and little girl made me this beauty for Christmas. The back piece is an antique bed frame, he then made the bottom cabinet from reclaimed wood. The 1800s marble top has been laying in our yard for a few years getting dirty, waiting to become something special. They succeeded in making something very special.

We tend to think of ourselves, the parents as the teachers and sometimes forget that our children are also our teachers. Its amazing the things you learn everyday from the littles. While having breakfast a few mornings ago, on my 41st birthday, I was having a conversation with my husband about life ,I didnt really think my 5 year old, Stella, was paying attention, but suddenly she leaned over to me and in a quiet voice she said, momma, if you dont follow your dreams, they will never come true!
That being said, I will continue following my passion in full force and hope you do the same.
One night ,2 years ago, I decided to look up airstreams on craigslist, etc, just for the hell of it, not thinking we would EVER find a deal, not to mention, we had no money to even deal with. Not thinking much more about it, i went to bed. My husband on the other hand, couldnt turn his brain off, his wheels were turning all night.
The next day, Robert, (my husband), a blacksmith, was at another blacksmith friends shop, and a friend of a friend was there. Robert began talking about airstreams and whatdya know, the friend of the friend says, I have one I will sell you right now for x amount of dollars. (he had 2 and only place to store one) He called me and I without hesitating, said, we want it, we can make that happen.
Shes been sitting in our yard for 2 years, not having the money to spend on her, until last week I said, lets at least put some paint on the walls, get the ball rolling. We dont have to renovate all at once, just a little bit here and there. soooooooo, here are afew pictures of before and where we are now. We painted the walls white, laid new plywood on the floor, cut out and painted new dividers a dark gray then did a little decorating. Keep in mind, we still need to work on plumbing and electrical, need appliances, and in a few weeks we will lay wood laminate on the floors, but shes at least ready for a camping trip which we will take this weekend. Over the next few months I will continue doing updates on the process. Im super excited about this journey I am beginning with my lil family. what is one of your dreams and what are you doing to make it happen? feel free to share, would love to hear from you.
